After acquiring the URL, BeachHouse.com in 2000, and with a handful of beach house rental listings in California, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and the Caribbean the site went live in 2001. Today, the site supports a virtual global community with millions of regular users, over 6000 beach vacation rental listings and continues to expand in the US and around the world. The website consistently provides cost effective ways for owners and managers to list and highly relevant rental information for vacationers and travelers worldwide to find their special beach getaway.

Many (vacation rental everything) websites expose its users to other types of rental properties, including images by the thousands of bed and breakfast hotels, lodges and ski chalets. Although providing many choices to vacationers may be beneficial, the variety can dilute a specific market focus and minimize exposure for beach rental properties.
